One week. A few useful moves.
Five-hour baseline. An event replaces that week’s visit block; it does not automatically add more work.
Weekly execution
First move: Envision
Your contact already asked about web design. Reconnect before cold visits. Confirm who he is and the best contact route in your own records.
“You mentioned wanting to know when I started offering web design. I’m doing that now. Do your clients ever ask for website help, and do you already have someone you refer them to? I’d love to show you two examples and see whether there’s a fit.”
Conversation draft only. Nothing is sent from this hub.
Count progress honestly
A card drop is a touch. A two-way exchange is a conversation. A partner agrees on when and how to introduce you. A qualified opportunity has a decision maker, a relevant need, and plausible paid-project fit.
Choose where to show up
America/New_York · Listings checked September 30, 2026. Confirm on the source page before registering. This calendar does not update automatically.
$5 nonmember admission, evening slot, Oviedo. Goal: three substantive conversations and one agreed follow-up. October 15 Coffee Hour is the low-cost backup; venue still needs confirmation.
Priority is our judgment of cost, access, and likely relationship value—not verified attendee fit. Marking “Going” does not register you.

Partners & places
Candidates to qualify—not confirmed referral partners. Call or email for a short meeting before traveling. Ask about existing web services and referral arrangements.
Other routes to develop
| Route | Where to find them | Useful first question |
|---|---|---|
| Ad managers / SEO providers | Local agency directories, LinkedIn, chamber members | “What do you do when a client’s website needs work outside your scope?” |
| Commercial photographers / videographers | Local portfolios, businesses whose work you admire | “Do clients ask you who can build the site that will feature your work?” |
| Business consultants | Chamber directory, existing business contacts | “When does a client’s website become a priority in your work together?” |
| Direct prospects | Google Maps, company sites, industry member directories | Identify a business-specific mismatch and ask whether it is a current priority. |
| Buyer requests | Relevant local business communities and explicit recommendation requests | Respond to the stated need with one relevant example; follow group rules. |
Start with a simple introduction model. Do not promise commissions, exclusivity, or white-label delivery until scope, economics, and responsibilities are agreed.
Conversations → paid work
Log partners and prospects separately by type. Every active record needs a next action and date.
Friday scorecard
Review meaningful conversations, qualified opportunities, proposals, and wins. Attribute each prospect to its original source. Early signals guide the next week; a small sample does not prove a channel works or fails.
Keep the raw source and date in each record. “Won” means accepted paid work, not verbal enthusiasm.
The roadmap
Weeks 1–2 · Open doors
Reconnect with Envision. Validate two local partner candidates. Identify ten suitable prospects per week and contact five. Create a small referral kit. Attend one low-cost event only if you can follow up.
Exit condition: real conversations revealing buying triggers and referral gaps.Weeks 3–4 · Follow through
Follow up after every meeting. Offer a brief review for suitable businesses; ask permission before doing extensive free work. Present relevant proof. Turn needs into clearly scoped proposals. Review which sources produced qualified opportunities.
Exit condition: a clear view of objections, opportunities, and next actions.Weeks 5–8 · Repeat what earns attention
Continue the strongest relationship route. Publish one proof-led piece weekly supporting the same buyer problem. Use the modular ad plan only after the entry offer and lead handoff work. Set a spending cap before any paid test.
Exit condition: a repeatable source of suitable conversations, not a target number of followers.Later · Maintenance offer and client access
First define what maintenance includes, request limits, response times, exclusions, and a profitable price. Validate demand with existing clients. Set up recurring billing when you are ready to sell it; a portal is justified when it solves an actual client-access problem.
Build gate: recurring service scope and paying demand. Stripe, subscriptions, and a members-only portal are not implemented here.A visit that can lead somewhere
- Research their services and likely client base.
- Ask for the owner or account manager and arrange 15 minutes.
- Ask whether clients request websites and who handles them now.
- Show one relevant example; explain your fit.
- Agree a next step: portfolio email, another meeting, or an introduction.
- Leave collateral with permission; log contact and follow-up.
“I build websites for established service businesses. Your clients already invest in how their business looks in the real world. If they ask for website help, I’d like to see whether I can be a reliable referral option. Do you already have someone handling that?”
Minimum referral kit
- Business card: name, website, confirmed contact details, and a readable role.
- One-page partner sheet: who you help, when to refer, two real examples, process, and contact.
- Digital portfolio link: relevant work with accurate descriptions.
- QR code to that live page, with the written URL beside it.
Draft positioning: “Websites that make established service businesses easier to understand, trust, and contact.”
Print a small batch after the link and contact details work. A brochure and a client portal can wait.
Collateral is specified here; print-ready artwork is a separate next task.

- Ensure the subdomain’s DNS A record points to your cPanel server IP at the provider managing your DNS. Then upload index.html directly into the subdomain’s document root using File Manager. The Ad Playbook is embedded; no extra HTML file is required.
- Use cPanel Directory Privacy to require a password for the folder; enable HTTPS.
- Open the hosted URL and restore your downloaded backup.
- Use the same browser and URL for routine work. Export regularly.
A hard-to-guess URL is not access control. This HTML does not include authentication. Follow-up dates are visible here; there are no automatic reminders.
Weekly operating rules
One partner meeting or relevant event. Five researched prospect approaches. Five follow-ups. One proof piece. Friday review. These are activity targets, not promised leads. Follow-ups come before adding more channels.
Refresh event listings weekly. If dates, venues, costs, or access change, update the event record from its official source. No memberships, registrations, messages, or payments are made by this hub.
